Rising Hell Releases Free Demo and Third Playable Character

One of the best games to come out of Southeast Asia, the vertical roguelite Rising Hell, is getting a number of new additions that are sure to entice players old and new.

Toge Productions, along with developer Tahoe Games, want to give more people a chance to try the game by releasing a prologue level that is free to play on Steam. Jump into the first level of hell and get a good feel of the game’s general ebb and flow before you decide to invest in this game.

Following the game’s full launch in Early Access in October 2019, the developers have added and tweaked several features such as talents to improve heroes’ abilities, artifacts that serve as temporary power-ups, and relics that determine player’s playstyle before starting the game.

To date, there are more than 50 talents and 20 relics in the game. The developers also revamped the appearance of Arok, the first playable character of Rising Hell after receiving suggestions from players.

Through this new update, a new third character is now available for players to unlock. Each character in Rising Hell has their own unique playstyle, like the aforementioned Arok being a melee fighter and the second character, Zelos, being a long-range fighter.

The new character, Sydna, is a short-range fighter with a unique mechanic. She hurls deadly Phantasmal orbs as her weapon. The orb attaches to nearby allies, dealing only a small amount of damage, before ultimately exploding, dealing massive area damage.

You can download the free Prologue demo of Rising Hell on Steam.
