Release Date of Spongebob Squarepants: Battle For Bikini Bottom Rehydrated set on June

Spongebob Squarepants: Battle For Bikini Bottom Rehydrated release date has been revealed, is on 23rd June.

The date has been announced in a “pre-hydrated” trailer video by THQ Nordic, which include features of new gameplay footage of Spongebob, Sandy and Patrick based levels as well, and some boss fight scene in the game. It also shows the features of game’s new multiplayer, which seems to be a wave-based arena-like battles featuring PvE elements.

Before this confirmed release date, an infographic released by Nintendo on January seem to reveal a May release date for Spongebob Squarepants: Battle For Bikini Bottom Rehydrated. In that infographic, which featured many upcoming Nintendo Switch titles released date, Spongebob game has been highlighted a May 22 release date. IGN has been told by THQ Nordic that the release date for the game was not known, May 22 release date was being confirmed not real.

By the way, May 22 was originally released date of the upcoming The Spongebob Movie: Sponge on the Run, which features a Keanu Reeves cameo. That movie’s has been delayed due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, and is now set for release on July 31, 2020.
