The Best ‘Borderlands 3’ Legendary Farm For The Loot Monster Event

Borderlands 3 is current running two events simultaneously, one that gives out more legendaries from Red Chests (guaranteed) and another that spawns more “loot monsters” in the game such as Loot Tinks.

Now, if you want to take advantage of this there are a lot of different ways, but if you ask me, a run that takes you through The Anvil is probably the best one for the current moment.

I’m not sure I have ever seen this many legendaries in the game at once outside of Slaughterhouse drops, and this run will get you both red chests and probably 5-6 Loot Tinks every time you run it, and Loot Tinks are dropping something like 4-6 legendaries per kill, in addition to the ones that will drop from other enemies as you fight.

The run is pretty straightforward. There’s only one place to land at The Anvil you start there and work your way through the prison area until you get to where you first met Tina. Then you head outside and have the option of going for an additional red chest off the beaten path (more on that later) or heading straight over the bridge to the Warden.

The Warden is an easy boss to kill and the final room of the run will always have a red chest you can open for 2-3 more legendaries most likely. During this entire run you will see Loot Tinks spawning so be sure to target them before they disappear. If you saw any less than 4 I’d be surprised, and it will likely be more like 5-6. If you forget where you killed them, you can usually tell by the cash they scatter around, and their packs you can open will be in the middle.

If you want to fully explore the Anvil there are two more red chests you can get, and going to find them will probably net you even more Loot Tinks as you fight to them, so it’s up to you. Here’s a video on all three red chests in the Anvil:

The downside of this run? If you don’t like fighting Anointed enemies, well, there are a zillion of them here in TVHM Mayhem 4. Even with top tier builds they can still prove to be exceedingly annoying, and their legendary drop rate is garbage compared to both Loot Tinks and badass enemies. But anywhere there are Loot Tinks there are going to be Anointed enemies because that’s just kind of how it works at higher difficulties. And I don’t think other loot monsters give out quite as many legendaries as Loot Tinks, so it’s probably worth suffering through. You can easily see 20-30 legendary drops in a 15 minute Anvil run using this method.

Enjoy, this event only lasts four more days until April 16.
